RANDOM SNOW MOMENTS

Weather reports stated that we would get a few inches of snow and for a while (pretty much, most of Tuesday), we didn't see any glimpse of the white stuff.  And then the snow story begins....Not until late last night and all throughout most of Tuesday night, snow gingerly fell onto our homes, streets and cars keeping most of this part of the country at home.

Hats off and kudos to every person that has to work in this crazy, winter weather and blessings to those that are without power, stranded, or sans a warm place to lay their heads.  Here are a few random snow moments that we captured while out and about via "Pat and Joe" today....

DIY | CANVAS ARTWORK FOR THE HOME

We all see the lovely pieces of artwork in our favorite home magazines, stores and home decor TV channels.  Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on artwork, here's a peek at one of our latest DIY projects that literally took a few hours and less than $50 (with coupons of course) to produce.  This project, in our opinion, was just the necessary touch that leaves a signature in our dining room.

What You'll Need:
  • White Canvas
  • Paint Brushes
  • Paint Color(s)
  • Paint Pallette
  • Command Strips (for hanging)

NEW YEAR....NEW HAIR....NEW COLORS

With a new year, come a lot of new goals.  But instead of a resolution, I opted for new hair.   And Khris, with his cute self, opted for a new color pallete featuring electric blue and kelly green.  Whatever your new is....Be bold, be colorful and be you!

Happy 2014 to all!

GOT HOT CHOCOLATE? BEAT THE POLAR VORTEX...

With the recent low double and single digit temperatures, staying warm becomes a challenge for some of us who never really near these frigid conditions.  But lately, we've been hearing a lot of chatter about the "Polar Vortex". What is it?  Why now?  Where did this crazy cold weather come from?

Don't be too concerned, it's supposed to near the 70s this weekend in parts of the Southeast!  Until then, get out your hot chocolate, hot tea and coffee to warm up those buns :)
