TIMELESS PHOTOJOURNALISM FEATURED ON Z GALLERIE

Summer is a time for lemonade and vacations. We haven't had much of either, but it may seem that we've vacationed from blogging to some. To make up for our absence, over the new few weeks, we hope to bring you a glimpse of images and posts from recent work and projects.

Today, we were super surprised to see what we are sharing with you. As avid fans of interior design, one of our favorite local stores is Z Gallerie. We've furnished quite a bit of our home with many of their pieces. So anyway, randomly out of the blue, Khris sends me a text that says: "Carla, check the email I sent you…NOW!" I perused my email in anticipation and curiosity to discover the attached campaign from Z Gallerie, complete with a Timeless Photojournalism interior product picture!! What! Are you joking? Crazy…random…awesomesauce! What a way to end the month of July! Now if we can just find time for that lemonade and vacation!  #summersurprises #byejuly #helloaugust #zgallerie #timelessphotojournalism

TEEN GIRL TURNS HEARTBREAK INTO BREAKTHROUGH

As Imani Abdullah-Lutes entered the room, her smile sharply pierced the staleness of the empty Boys and Girls Club game room.  The hang out space shared a presence of homework sessions, competitive gaming on the billiards table, quick "cat-naps" on the comfy sofas, and the staple vending machine accessible to quench the thirst and provide respite to the countless teens that call - The Club - home.

Imani was petite in stature but absolutely huge in her presence.  There was a sweet innocence about her that immediately encouraged you to cheer her on as she continues to create and design her life’s journey.  Thank you Imani for being such an inspiration to many, including myself, and an astounding model both inside and out.  Continue to radiate your light into every room you enter.

Here’s Imani's story as told by Walter Magazine (June/July 2014 issue).

WALTER MAGAZINE | GIVING BACK THROUGH FAITH

It's beginning to look a lot like a beautiful new headquarters! This time, our lens and perspective were assigned to capture the story behind the Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network (WIHN) recent remodeling project.  Courtesy of Remodelers Council of the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County,  WIHN received a much needed facelift to continue providing citizens of the Wake County area with resources and tools necessary to assist during their time of transition.  Thank you to the wonderful team at WIHN and the Remodelers Council for their time.  Here's to a new look and new chapter.
