As Imani Abdullah-Lutes entered the room, her smile sharply pierced the staleness of the empty Boys and
Girls Club game room. The hang out space shared a presence of homework sessions, competitive
gaming on the billiards table, quick "cat-naps" on the comfy sofas, and the staple vending machine accessible to quench the thirst and provide respite to the
countless teens that call - The Club - home.
Imani was petite in stature but
absolutely huge in her presence. There
was a sweet innocence about her that immediately encouraged you to cheer her on
as she continues to create and design her life’s journey. Thank you Imani for being such
an inspiration to many, including myself, and an astounding model both inside and out. Continue to radiate your light into every room
