There's a new train in town and it carries extremely precious cargo...diapers! Co-directors Allene Adams and Cameron Ellerbe are helping to reach as many parents in need as possible with through their program, The Diaper Train, which is affiliated with Saint Saviour's Center on Tucker Street in downtown Raleigh. These ladies and other volunteers give tirelessly of themselves every Tuesday and Thursday by providing diapers, wipes, and gently used books to families in need. We were so moved by the organization's mission and efforts that we signed up to become volunteers to help give to the hundreds served in a two-hour period.
Adams and Ellerbe are always in need of volunteers and donated diapers. If you or someone you know would like to volunteer and/or donate, please contact The Diaper Train.
